Mosin Nagant M38 is dated 1942 and is made at the izhevsk arsenal in USSR/Russia. 7.62x54r caliber. Being that it was made during WW2, it has the rougher metal finish than pre or post-WW2 rifles. This one is not counterbored (many M38s are) and has a laminated wood stock plus all of the accessories shown in the picture. The serial numbers are electro-penciled to matching at the arsenal. Good bore and no pitting. A nice example of a harder to find model of the Mosin Nagant. $440 cash. No trades.
Mosin Nagant M44 is dated 1946 and is made at the izhevsk arsenal in USSR/Russia. 7.62x54r caliber. This model had the side folding bayonet and the stock is Tung oil refinished, but still retains the original markings. (the original finish was flaking bad and was chemically removed with minimal sanding). Nice shiny bore with no pitting, nice bluing and metal finish. Includes all of the accessories shown in the picture. $340 cash. No trades.
Buyer must be able to pass a FFL background check. Transfers will take place in South Austin only. No shipping. Cost of the FFL is already built into the price.
Also have a used Darrell’s Scout Mount that fits in the rear sight base to mount a long eye relief scope on the M44 or M38. This mount does not require any alteration of the rifle, so it can easily be returned to original configuration. I’ll sell this for $60.
