Nice 1898 Krag hunting rifle in original .30-40 chambering. Serial dates to early 1899. Has been tastefully sporterized. Not a hack job. Bore is strong and shiny with a good crown. Action as butter smooth as they are famous for. Original walnut stock was thinned to a more classic profile. Has been tapped for two different styles of side scope mounts, so it could be scoped with little effort if you find either style mount. Overall it’s a well built rifle still fit for service 126 years later.
Posted for a friend wanting to trade for a Norinco SKS. Must be in original wood with factory magazine.
