For sale is my most accurate rifle. I own it. It is chambered in 204 Ruger. Originally, it was a first edition Remington 700 204 Ruger LVSF. However, we made it much better! It features a light varmint contour 22-inch fluted stainless steel barrel with a target crown. Easily get to 4000 ft./s plus with Hornady Super Performance or I prefer my handloads. Blue-printed Remington 700 short action. From Ilion, NY with the precision work done by S&S Precision out of Denton, Texas, formally Roanoke, Texas. Added is a HS Precision aluminum bedded stock with a hand, glass, bedding, and free-floating barrel, awesome features a titanium firing pin with titanium housing to smooth in and lighten the trigger pool, along with the blue printing of the 700 action and the squaring of the bolt face and locking lugs. We have also polished the locking lugs and spiral fluted the bolt. The trigger has a pull weight of 1.5 pounds consistent every time custom trigger job done by S&S precision and this Remington doesn't fall under the batch that had the bad triggers. This is all custom and what you would want for a total weight of 5.6 pounds. Hand-polished HS Precision lightweight stock to get the larger Remington 700 short action into the mountain rifle weight stock. The barrel has under 100 shots, and I have the recipe for the handloads and the Wilson die if interested for an additional $50. The Leupold gold ring Vari-X III 6.5 -20 x 40, still with a lifetime warranty by Leopold, and in superb condition, custom-coated scope is optional with the price of only $300, and that includes the ring and bases. The price below is just for the rifle itself, no scope, and no rings or bases. I have added many pictures to showcase the rifle, and I can send more upon request. The barrel is 100% perfect. There is no copper fouling and has been cleaned after each session, which has not been many, just to perfect the Berger 40-grain varmint load. The rifle will shoot 1/4 MOA or less at 100 yards. I currently have custom loads that are shooting a 40-grain bullet and the 3800 ft./s range using H322. This is a gun I have held onto for a long time, and it is also a very rare gun. This rifle has been owned only by me and my father from its new state to now, but now I am selling due to the fact that I would like a shotgun instead, Benelli to be precise. You will not find another one like this anywhere. If you are looking to shoot flat and hit hard or you are a serious varmint hunter, this is the rifle for you. The Berger loads are outstanding; however, feel free to shoot whichever ammo you would like because the rifle likes all of it. The rifle comes with sling swivel studs, and the swivel attachment that can be removed easily on the front swivel makes for a great mount for a QD bipod, Atlas Ect. I am willing to trade for a Benelli Super Sport, a Benelli Sport, or a Benelli Cordova. The last time I took the rifle to the range and shot was three years ago. A picture of the target is included. The first shot to the left is where I made the adjustment and then shot another nine times as fast as possible to make sure that the rifle still grouped well with a hot barrel which is a light varmint profile barrel, 416 stainless steel fluted and has jeweled fluted bolt, beautiful and weight saving. You get the accuracy of a full heavy barrel, but half with the fluting. The harmonics of the barrel are perfect. Take the target picture for example. That was shot at 100 yard. I immediately cleaned the rifle and it is ready to go again for the next varmint hunter out there. Please contact me at 817-994-4312 or through the app/website. Thank you very much.
